Tick Tock Naturals® was founded by Dr. Susan Eisen, a Functional Medicine Lyme-literate specialist and contributing author to the Weil Integrative Medicine Library Series. Based in private practice in Manhattan, Dr. Eisen launched the brand after contracting acute neurological Lyme disease from a tick bite, in the middle of winter. With a background in biochemistry and molecular biology, she used her expertise to develop an effective, organic formula after struggling with the physical and emotional toll of Lyme. A chance meeting with Ally Hilfiger, a fellow Lyme warrior, helped bring her vision to life.

Dr. Eisen currently serves on the board of Sam’s Spoons Lyme Foundation, founded by journalist and former national ambassador for Project Lyme, Carrie Perry. She is also a past Benefit Committee member of the Global Lyme Alliance. Tick Tock Naturals® is proud to be recognized by leading Lyme organizations nationwide and, in 2021, was acknowledged by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a top-performing natural insect repellent.

Further validating its efficacy, a 2017 peer-reviewed study led by Dr. Ying Zhang (Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Medical School) found that the same essential oils used in Tick Tock Naturals® are among the most effective for repelling ticks, mosquitoes, fleas, and spiders.
